Ilocos empanada was super crispy & stuffed full of meat! Hope they never change that recipe cuz Iโ€™m hooked on em. New chicken empanada dough flakier and tender. Iโ€™m used to the old empanada dough but this oneโ€™s growing on me. Turon latte nice and strong but the flavorings could use some tweaking. Nice caramelized sugar & fried wrapper flavor but I wanted to taste more banana. Support local!

I had a pleasant experience at Valerioโ€™s Bake Shop and really enjoyed the variety of Filipino breads, pastries, and baked treats. The selection makes it a nice place to stop by when you want something sweet or savory, and there are plenty of familiar Filipino favorites that are great for sharing with family. The staff were helpful, and the bakery had a simple, casual atmosphere that made it easy to browse and choose what I wanted. I also appreciate that there are several options for different preferences, although customers with food allergies or strict dietary restrictions should ask about ingredients because many baked goods can contain wheat, eggs, dairy, or other common allergens. Vegetarian customers can find some suitable choices, but I would still recommend checking the ingredients if you follow a strict vegetarian or vegan diet. The bakery is also a convenient option for families because the pastries and breads are easy to share and there is something for different tastes. Overall, Valerioโ€™s Bake Shop is a good place to visit if you enjoy Filipino-style baked goods and want a casual local bakery experience. I would recommend it to someone looking for fresh bread, pastries

The new hot pandesal and strawberry matcha are quite delicious and refreshing. I recommend trying them.

Another spot if youโ€™re craving for Ilocos Empanada and looking for Filipino pastries and breads also. I bought (to-go) the last two (2) empanadas at around 9:15 a.m. An easy option with no pre-order needed and no limited days availability. Crunchy and full of delicious fillings. Love the vinegar dipping sauce too. This is where we buy our regular pandesal and cheese pandesal. Will try their drinks next time when Iโ€™m with my wife since they have a cafรฉ now inside.

If you're looking for authentic Filipino breads, Valerio's is the spot to go. They have posters up front explaining their legacy and how long they've been a part of this community (and for good reason). I tried two pastries from here: starting with the Pan de Ube (5/5), which was an incredibly soft bread, packed with a generous serving of ube. I also tried a pack of the Mini Ube Ensaymada, which came with nine pieces. These were so soft and creamy (and a bit dangerous to have around, as they're so addicting!). Their is a mix of ube paste and cream cheese inside and topped with an interesting take of cheddar cheese. The prices are super reasonable, but take note they are takeout only. I came around mid-day, and a lot of single piece pastries were sold out by then, so id definitely recommend coming earlier for the best selections.
